George Clooney jokes about Tiger Woods car crash
Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has poked fun at the recent Tiger Woods car crash scandal.
As rumours swirl that Woods and wife Elin were in the middle of a domestic dispute involving a golf club, Clooney cracked the joke at the premiere of his new movie.
While cops have announced no domestic abuse charges will be filed against Woods or his wife, despite initial reports she had chased him out of the house with a golf club, Clooney laughing, claimed a woman once tried to get him out of a car using a 7-iron.
The Hollywood heartthrob was confronted by a Los Angeles reporter from KABC radio at the premiere of his new movie, Up In the Air.
She cheekily asked the 48-year-old: "You've had some experience with some really good looking women. Have any of them ever tried to get you out of a car using a golf club?"
Clooney laughed and jokingly said: "You know what? As a matter of fact, yes, they have.
"I tell you what it was, a 7-iron - and it damn near killed me."
Clooney attended the world premiere of his latest movie with two women on his arm - his mum Nina Warren and his current girlfriend, Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis, 31.
