Prepared to lose Oscar – Actress Kate Winslet
Actress Kate Winslet has been nominated for the same award twice (Best Actress) at this year’s BAFTA Awards and she has received a nomination for Best Actress at the Academy Awards as well but the actress is not very hopeful of her chances of winning an Oscar.
Actually she is instead fully prepared to miss out on another Academy Award at the gala event due to take place later this month. The actress feels that she has missed out on so many occasions previously that now she has perfected the art of losing the Best Actress Award.
She says “I have this history of losing. I lost all the time so I’ve perfected this losing face. It’s sort of calm”. Come on Kate at least I can see the positive side of all your losses.
If you can make a succession of losses like you have made in the past then within a few years you would have made so many memorable Oscar nominated performances that you will be in line to win an Oscar for Life Time Achievement means you would be nearing retirement by then which is not too far from now. And if you still manage to miss out then you would automatically have the title of the Best Actress to never have won an Oscar. That would be the pinnacle of your achievements, he he.
