Mark Wahlberg’s parent worries
The actor has recently stated that he and his family will be moving away from Hollywood because he thinks that it’s not a proper place to raise his children, especially because his daughter has no role models there. He had this to say: "We won't stay in Hollywood forever because it's very difficult to raise normal kids in an environment like that. And I was thinking there are no real role models for girls. You've got Britney Spears, you've got Paris Hilton- they're nice enough people but I don't want my daughter to aspire to be like that." I admire the man’s concern, but since when are Spears and Hilton “nice enough people”? He must be quite the poor judge of character. But he is right, it’s not like there are any other options as female role models these days except Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, it’s not like people would read a book every now and again and discover a fascinating character which they could consider a role model. Nope, everybody keeps their eyes on Hollywood because that’s where the crème de la crème is…
