Robert Pattinson autographs guitar for charity
Twilight star Robert Pattinson has signed a guitar for charity - after strumming it in a US store.
The actor picked up the brand-new Fender Telecaster on a visit to Norman's Rare Guitars in Tarzana, California.
And when owner Norman Harris saw the 23-year-old playing it, he asked him to autograph it.
London-born Pattinson agreed, and had his photo taken with the instrument.
It is now up for sale on eBay, with a reserve price of $3,000.
Proceeds will go to The Midnight Mission homeless charity, based in downtown Los Angeles.
"He's really a nice guy - very shy, very quiet," Harris said.
"People follow him around like crazy, so he kind of liked it because we're a little off the path here, and the paparazzi didn't really follow him in here.
"He's friends with one of the fellows who works here from England. [Pattinson] came in, and he actually bought a nice guitar from us. He was playing this other guitar, so I said to him, 'We're doing this thing for the Midnight Mission, would you sign this guitar for me?'
"He said, 'I don't do a lot of these things, but you seem like a good guy, and it seems like a good cause.'"
